I was walking around Walmart yesterday and, of course, I had to check out the camping section. As I was looking at the stuff they had on clearance, I happened to notice that, next to the compasses, they had a folding lock blade knife made by Ozark Trail. It cost a grand total of $1.00! I bought two of them.
They are made in China, have a plastic handle, and feel kind of cheap; BUT, for $1.00, if it gets dull or you snap the blade, WHO CARES!!
I checked them out to be sure the blade would stay locked and they operate fine so, I put both of them in my bug out bag.
The other thing they are great for is giving to someone at the camp site that doesn’t have one so they won’t be borrowing your really cool Gerber LMF II ASEK knife.
